Sale Alert: Hookbox

2007-12-13-hooksale.jpg
Back when we first posted about the Hookbox, the price ($270) was NOT popular (all seven comments were about the high ticket)...the good news is that it is on sale! For $98! With free shipping! Details below:

The Hookbox is made from ceramic and was designed by Luca Nichetto in 2005. It can hold 12 lbs on the hook and 2 lbs in the container. Available in white with black or red interior.

Now $98...and currently it also qualifies for free shipping.

Available at DWR.

For a really small space, this is a great idea. Looks like an idea begging to be mass-produced.

i don't believe the $98 price tag is totally outrageous considering it's made of ceramic with a 2-tone glaze that won't fade over time. these will last and maintain their clean look.

if it was made of plastic (like a lot of the retro 70's vitra/kartell stuff is, which often yellows/changes color from age), i'd join in with all the complaining...and encourage it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks $98 is a joke!

They aren't worth $98 either. Ceramic / shmeramic!

P.S.
Makes you wonder how if they can lower the price from $270 to $98...just how overpriced they were in the first place. DWR is a great store. I've loved them for years but somewhere, somehow, your smarts have to kick in when it comes to some of their outrageous prices (like that Min bed, ick!)

I have to agree about the pricing - $270 is awful, and at $98 it's still quite pricey for what it is. $50 I'd be willing to pay, but not any more than that.

I asked my mum how much she thought it was originally and at sale. She said $20 down to $10.
