apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Using Baskets in the Bathroom

We like to incorporate a little bit of open storage into the bathroom. We recently repainted our small apartment bathroom, and we decided to offset the white walls with natural materials, including a bench that we've used for towels and other items that we store in baskets...

A small bread basket holds other canisters for hidden storage. The bench is the Molger from IKEA.

A deep wicker basket lined with fabric holds our towels. We still haven't figured out what to store in our kombucha tea bottles.

Our hairdryer and other unsightly items get tucked into this basket on the bottom shelf. It makes storage easy to access, but still hidden. (We still need to do something about our ugly floors, and then we're all set!)

You can store cotton balls in the Kombucha bottle...Slightly impractical, but it'll look amazing!

Baskets ended up making such a difference in my bathroom.

The cats missed the stacks of towels, though.
