Double Chaise Loungers from Gloster Furniture

Deep Seating Double Chaise from Gloster's Ventura Collection in natural teak

Certainly for those with extensive outdoor space to spare, we just heard about another line of double chaise lounges (after our recent post showing a roundup of a few size and design options).

We heard from a Gloster representative saying, "Over the last five years, there has been an upsurge in consumer interest in outdoor living, which comes out of an increase in gardening and architectural landscaping. Oversized pieces including daybeds, open-air kitchens and bars, deep seating, double chaise loungers and sofas sized for two or three are helping create the comfortable outdoor rooms of the season."

The new line, Eclipse, "consists of a relaxer, footstool, protective canvas sail and side table with a non-scratch ceramic surface. Combine the relaxer and the footstool for a cozy daybed-sized lounger and add the sail for sun protection or privacy. Or push two relaxers together to make the ultimate sunbathing cocoon -- about as big as a full-size bed -- perfect for the whole family. Despite their obvious scale both the Relaxer and Footstool are light and easy to move around thanks to the addition of smooth-running castors which lock into position as soon as weight is applied."

We think these look super comfy and vacation-y...definitely not fit for urban living in cramped spaces, though. Nonetheless, a little outdoor living could be happily spent with one of these.

(Thanks, A.K.!)

Very tempting! But I also lack the space. My terrace is not small by urban standards but nobody will be able to move around anymore. Maybe will try it on a vacation. Does anyone know a hip hotel that got them so I can put it on my To Visit Spots?
