We've often googled IKEA commercials for other cities around the world (yes, we're aware it's a lame habit) and this outdoor display promoting IKEA's ability, to provide practical storage in every shape and size, really won us over. Although our hobbies are kind of (ok really) lame, we think the look is rather intriguing when it's done. Click through for another view and to see where this all happened...
IKEA Frankfurt decided that their target market was people living in small flats and apartments. So in turn they decorated the outside of this building with banners depicting the storage pieces in which they sell.
Although we think it might annoy us if we lived in that particular building, it sure beats the heck out of kids in college dorms hanging Bob Marley and Grateful Dead flags from theirs. IKEA's campaign won them all sorts of awards, check out more photos and thoughts on the display over at The Inspiration Room.

Home Sweet Ikea Home.
It looks cool but I wouldn't want to live in a building with file cabinet box patios/

I think I'd rather see Bob Marley and Grateful Dead flags hanging from balconies than advertisements!

Wow, what a great, creative idea.
Note; any flags or banners IS advertising, even if for non-commercial pursuits.
