Before & After: 5 Great Outdoor Makeovers from Domino

Over the years, along with many fab interiors, Domino featured some sweet outside spaces. We especially liked the makeovers - nothing beats a good before and after to motivate and inspire! We take a look back at five favorites...

I miss Domino! In fact, I saved the same clipping that is in your 1st before & after for my style file! I wonder how that backyard looks now.

As much as I love looking at the garden in the photo on the left, and it's totally my modern style, I find it a bit too coifed, so to speak.

I loved them all, and frankly, some of the transformations were amazing. R.I.P., Domino, you are missed.

They're all lovely, but the one on the left took a usable back yard and turned it into something you look at but don't use. I doubt anyone ever goes past the patio, except for the gardener.

number three is great. i love the before as much as the after - those clay pots are stunning. it looks so autumnal and waiting.

the geometric garden is far too geometric for my taste :-D i do not like right angles in gardens. the others are all fabulous.

Yeah, that first one looks like the transformation was made by someone who actually hates to be outside, and wanted it to feel like you're still inside.

The third one, while striking, looks too overgrown and messy. I really like the first one, but I would have saved a bit of grass.

The third one does look like a little too much of a good thing. The rest of the transformations are truly an inspiration. Amazing what a little vision and hard work can accomplish!

I like the first one...surprising since I generally go for more natural gardens. It's artistically planned and I love ornamental grasses. I would have no problem spending time out there. The third one almost looks like an accident waiting to happen. I love the plants, but finding the stairs looks difficult. I can see someone tripping or falling. Overall, they're all nice.
