Casa Sugar's Twinkle Renovates Her Kitchen

061008twinkle1.JPGSo, we love it. But that's no surprise since we see a few similarities to our own kitchen renovation. Although our main resource was IKEA and my husband and I knocked down a wall and laid the floor ourselves, the other parallels are solid: assembling and installing own cabinetry (which looks similar to their Danish Kvik set), significant electrical and plumbing work, purchasing display model appliances, and going for oak countertops, white cabinets, and light green and red accents...

We've still got quite a bit ahead of us, but feel quite inspired by the sun-filled gorgeously clean renovation here.

See full post on Casa Sugar here, including a lot more photos (and the "before" shots). Fantastic results, Twinkle!

Beautiful! I wonder where they hid the outlets.

So pretty! I love the glass backsplash -- have been thinking about it myself. Don't think I would want wood countertops, but they sure do look nice!

That's the second time I've seen butcher block counters with an undermount sink on the site in the past week or two. I would think that the counters would warp around the sink area really quickly.

there is a new methodology called "counterseal" that enables undermount installations on laminate and butcherblock counters. on their website they sell sinks made especially for the process. haven't seen it in person, but it as featured on HGTV a month or so ago.

It doesn't get any better than this folks. Twinkle hit a home run with this one. From start to finish every detail has been addressed. High five. She is also a great person inside and out. ;)

The great thing about Twinkle's kitchen is that it's practical for her kids and her family!
