Color Inspiration: Pops of Yellow

1006_ulin2.jpg

Yellow. It's a warm-weather color, to be sure, but we also welcome it with open arms into our autumnal palette. It's the exact color that's showing on the proud leaves of the tree outside our window right now. And what better color to warm a cozy interior through the gray winter? We love these yellow pops captured in the photography of Pia Ulin and want to share them with you here...

Those large double doors offer a big dose of color, working with other bits of complementary colors like the aqua in the rug and the purple seat cushion. Painting an interior door can be a fantastic way to introduce color into your home's architecture.

The chairs at this simple kitchen table make a black-painted nook downright cheery. Don't you love how a coat of bright paint can bring new life to wooden furniture?
