Normally we're not that into Easter egg colors or frilly furniture, but some small part of us (the part that fantasizes about vacationing in a 1940s summer cottage) was drawn to this Coastal Living Collection from Stanley Furniture...

We can't help it. Our love of Michigan vacations and painted wood furniture got the best of us this time. Although a whole room of this stuff might be a little too frou-frou, we think one pastel piece could add some homey charm in the right context. Just read up on Janel's rules for using pastels successfully, then revitalize an old hand-me-down or thrift store with a new coat of paint.

I have to agree. It's got good lines, and would be lovely in small doses...

I love the color of the last one - seems like a media console or armoire?

That secretary is making me feel furniture lust - I'd especially like it in "Beach Cruiser" red.

Very pretty, but I'd prefer more saturated colors.

I'm a furniture buyer at City Life in Brea. From my experience Stanley Furniture is not very good quality and overpriced for what it is. Cute color though.

It's very pretty - if I had an open room full of windows, it would be perfect!
