What's Your Local Hardware Spot?

092608hardwareoutside.jpgEspecially helpful for those moving to new neighborhoods, we'd like to know about your go-to Chicago hardware spot. We used to hit up Clark-Devon Hardware when we lived in East Rogers Park; now that we're in the west RP, we can walk or bike to the fantastic (and fantastically helpful) Chicago Coast True Value at 6042 N. Western Ave. For paint, keys, bike repair, equipment rentals, and always lots of advice (and supplies), we'd be lost without it. Tell us the name and location of your local spot below:

I second Clark-Devon hardware. The people who work there are super-friendly and very willing to help.

I live by Kim's Clarendon Hardware in Edgewater at 6050 N Broadway Street, and while I love Clark-Devon for bigger projects, Kim's always has what I need and more. They even re-did my screens cheaper than the maintenance guys in my building could do, and with better quality materials.
