
We've been reading a lot about somatic treatments lately (including this article from Conscious Choice). Distilled into a sentence, somatic therapy and other similar treatments are based on the belief that healing can occur through movement and touch.
The philosophy behind it reminds us of the ergonomic furniture movement of the 1990s, which resulted in Herman Miller's Aeron Chair. Paying attention to the way we move in our homes, and the way our furniture supports (or hurts) us, is key to our well-being.
