Doctors Foster and Smith Just for Cats Catalog

drfostersmith-roundup.jpgMaybe they have spies, but we thought it was quite a coincidence that we received our very first ever Doctors Foster and Smith Just for Cats catalog in the mail this week. We'd never even heard of the good doctors, but lo and behold, here was their catalog -- and we liked it! While some of the items had us scratching our cat's head (Does one really need a Baby Bjorn-like cat sling?) there were a few we rather fancied.

We love how their Thermal Lounger actually heats us to 102 degrees to keep your cat toasty. The Tick-Tock Teaser (say it three times fast) appears to be a sort of metronome for cats and the Peek-a-Box is quite striking for a cat toy. And with the exception of one, all of the items listed below are under $50.

I've been a fan of drs f&s for a long time - some of the products are ridiculous (a cat stroller? really?) but they have a lot of innovative things, too. Usually I use it for ideas and then seek out a less-expensive alternative.

I get catalogs from them too! The best are the baby strollers for cats!?! you know, just in case fluffy HAD to go with you to the store. But otherwise, some very good stuff.

I've seen several people with the cat stroller. One lady takes her cat out for regular cat strolls and the cat seems to enjoy it. I think the other woman I saw was coming from the vet - so that makes sense, it's hard to lug a cat carrier around if you don't have a car and can't get cabs (some cabs won't pick you up with animals).

I bought their heated cat cups for my cat and my mom's cats several years ago and they all adore them. It's my cat's favorite thing in the world, I would venture, and he spends at least 5 hours a day in it.

I've also seen a cat being pushed around in a stroller. In that case, the cat was not happy. I overheard the owner saying that the cat can't stand to be without her. Yeah, I think it's the other way around, lady.

i have the peek a boo cat toy thing, and i hate to say it but my girls don't care about it at ALL. they enjoy the balls that came with it, but not in conjunction with the toy. i think i'm going to try that string thing that hangs from the doorknob and see how they like that.

Fear not, Spiffy! They also have a Just for Dogs catalog. Since I have a cat, I only received the catalog.
