Custom Cat Towers

pssy930.jpgPet Month wouldn't be complete without sharing the ultimate antidote to the sisal-and-carpet cat condo. Mpls-based Pussywood Custom Cat Towers is neither minimalist or mod... unless you make it so. Note the natural birch, other wild woods, and ability to work in a paddleboard if need be. Maker Christa Robinson can handle any custom design or material request you can conjure or your cat can silently demand. She's even worked with snowboard and skate decks.

A one-woman show, Pussywood Towers are made from locally sourced and recycled materials, and no two are alike. Knowing our own cats' wool obsession, we'd replace the faux fur with something yarny and trade wine boxes for FLOR-floored platforms or maybe an Ikea wood desk tray if we were feeling wild.

Prices are $100 to $250ish.

Tree-climbing cats, get ready - there's fun to be had.

Oh....this has to be a joke! The cats might like it, but it is truly tacky! The descriptions are hilarious.

"This has gray fun fur and two tug-o-war ropes. Super fun for competitive pussies."

AM I the only one who kinda digs it?? It could be cool in a kitschy way! And I for one find the name hilarious.

Francesca, they have one on the main page of the website.

I actually kinda like it. I'd keep it on the patio, though. A bit too much for my already eclectic apartment.

my dad made a small cat tower for our cat. It didn't look anything like a tree but it was less expensive than the $100 ones in stores and my cat loves it all the same.

and yeah, that is a horrible name for a company! i bet the cats don't want to be associated to it.

Sounds like a tacky amatuer porn name. Whoever thought of this name obviously didn't think it through.
