Urbanhound: Just Launched in Chicago

2006-07-05-houndcute.png Urbanhound, a web resource center for city dog owners has been around for years in NYC. We got the press release that they were going "tri-coastal" on June 29 when they launched local editions in Chicago and San Francisco.

The site includes local directories from pet-supplies to groomers and walkers and reviews of pet boutiques and off-leash recreation areas.

A community message board, reader questions and expert advice coming from vet Dr. Betsy Brevitz and trainer Andrea Arden round things out.

Welcome to Chicago, Urbanhound !

My dog likes to run 6 miles (he can easily do up to about 8). He's a German shepherd/sharpei mix, and trotting next to me on training runs (I'm entered in the NYC marathon in the fall) is his favorite thing. And he'll be 9 years old in April ...

well, that's good to know. thanks! i'm thinking i'll talk the hubby into getting a dog that can do the 6 miles with him, and when he does his really long runs then the dog can run a mile or two with me instead!

and good luck with the marathon!
