I've picked up those balls from Target twice now and haven't actually followed through on the purchase... I guess I'm waiting for a price drop on something so silly! They are very nice in person, however, and heftier than you'd imagine.

Does anyone have those X tables? Website says online only, so I'm not gonna trek out to target to take a look....what's the finish like? Are they white, or ivory? Sturdy?

Thanks!!

noarch - the x-tables are at the brickyard target (both in the white and brown), i just saw them on saturday. didn't look too close but they seemed sturdy enough.

Noarch ~ I've been to 2 separate targets in the past month and each had a few of the Newport Tables in stock (if this is the x table your referring to). I didn't look that closely, but it looked decent for the price. I remember it being fairly low. I'm also looking for a similar tray-like table, but didn't inspect it because I am hoping it will go on sale. I'll be hitting up Target this week and will take a closer look and report back.

For some reason, I am strangely drawn to that coral piece. But, I don't really need an extra thing taking up space.

Well maybe I DO need to make a trip to Target to check those tables in person!

I'm in SF though, so the Brickyard Target will be quite a hike! Hopefully they'll have them here too!

Noarch - Just getting back to you. I went to Target last night and they had the table. It was still normal priced - $59. It was wobbly and not very sturdy. It also was off-white and almost shabby chic as some portions had missing paint but it didn't appear to be scratched. I think it would be okay as an entry table or to hold a few items (maybe the weight would even out the legs making it less wobbly). I need a small table and have been liking the X style lately, but I think its actually overpriced for the quality. I'm going to wait and see if it goes on sale (which it probably will). If I do purchase, I will probably laquer the life out of it and then place a mirror on the inside . . . maybe.
