We first saw these frames made from recycled boat wood at Twosided (mainly gifts and cards), the extension of Lakeview store Foursided (for custom framing). As with most objects made of reclaimed materials, each frame is one of a kind, offering different color combos and wood textures.

I'm new to the city and haven't heard of 2-sided or 3-sided, but I did notice these and other boat wood items at the (presumably related) Foursided, which just opened near me at Clark just south of Foster - its a very nice frame, gift, and art shop.
Erik,
Thanks to you I realized my typo. It is in fact Foursided, which is the close cousin of Twosided, both in Lakeview. Thanks for the word that another Foursided opened on Clark/Foster!
The addresses for the others:
Twosided; 2958 N. Clark
Foursided: 2939 N. Broadway
These can also be made from old molding strips you can pick-up at a salvage yard. My friend used to make them with mitered corners. These could probably be glued together, if perchance you were handy?
There are a bunch of them at the Twosided location in Lakeview as well. There are mirrors as well. Most of them are blues and greens, rather than the darker colors in the photo above. There are some photos of them at www.foursided.com in the 4th section of the site.
