Although we've grown accustomed to a cordless, digital phone, the look has never really grown on us. That, on top of the fact that we have to stand near the cradle anyway to get good reception, makes the idea of returning to classic seem like a good one.

I have a vintage donut phone in my room and I LOVE it. I hate my cordless... I have one, but rarely use it.

I just glanced at bloomsbury's faqs but didn't see an answer to my question...do these phones work w/ US telephone wiring? Is there a difference b/t the UK and US? I figured not, but wanted to be sure.

Or, for slightly less $$:

OOOH how this makes me miss my classic pink Princess telephone. Of course these same way over priced but bring on the nostalgia nonetheless.

Hi Colleen ... I don't know about the wiring itself, but from what I remember of living over there ages ago, there was a different plug than what we use here ... perhaps you'd have to have it redone. Someone else who really knows about phones, might want to clarify, though.
