Louis Sullivan Ornaments

122006sullivan.jpg

2006 marked the 150th birthday of Louis Sullivan, and Johnny sent us a link back in October showing off these beautifully intricate ornaments. Although we missed it then (yes, we save and revisit as many of your emails as possible!), what better time than mid-December to showcase some Chicago-style ornamentation.

Prairie Arts "developed three exquisitely detailed wooden holiday ornaments based on famous Louis Sullivan designed landmarks. Two of the designs were once located in the tragically lost Chicago Stock Exchange, and the third was designed for the Schlesinger & Mayer Store (now known as the Carson Pirie Scott & Co. store."

(Thanks, Johnny!)
