(We got an email from a reader this weekend asking about this post. She knew she had seen it somewhere on AT, but was having trouble tracking it down. We were about to send an email and then realized it is a good product to look at for art month, so we are reposting it here.)
There is a real renaissance in printmaking happening - small runs of cool prints and posters from artist run presses are available all over (craft fairs/online/galleries). Designers are producing more and more amazing wallpaper daily, too.
If you are decorating with this type of affordable art on paper, then you know - framing gets expensive and push pins are unthinkable. This poster hanger might solve the installation issue.

I've been looking for something like this. I've recently fallen for the Georgina Trail wallpaper by Gramercy (link in my name) and since my landlord has a no paint/no paper policy I wasn't quite sure hiw to use it. I thought about papering some mdf panels or some canvases, but this looks like it might be much cleaner.
A question, does anyone have any opinions about how much is enough when you're using wallpaper as art? I originally thought about doing 3 equal size panels on the wall above my couch, but one of my friends thought that might look chintzy, and that I should just do one large panel.
The MoMA Design Store also sells these.
... and where in Chicago is the MoMa Design Store?
oh yeah. thanks. that doesn't help.
MOMA has a great online store where the poster hangers are available -- check it out at the link in my name. They have tons of fabulous stuff and they even have sales!
You can purchase them through the MoMA online store.

(Sorry for the long url.)
Oh Devon! You beat me to it!
right right right... ONLINE store. the link in the article was ONLINE, too. and cheaper. who cares where else it's sold online, was my point. it's not something here in the city (or 'burbs. or state).
Actually, it was helpful to me to know that they're sold at the MoMA store, too, because they come in larger sizes there. So, thanks Patrick - I just ordered the some of the 27in-ers.
Thanks to all for the MoMA tip on the larger sizes. I am going to add it to the post...
jen...why the hostility? people are just trying to share information with each other. if it's not useful to you, then don't use it. i don't live in any of the cities that AT is located in, (but i still look at all the sites!) so online resources are always helpful for me.
Wow, Jen. Bad day much?
*ahem*
What an amazing idea and definitely something to keep in mind come my Big Move in fifteen days....
I'm a big fan of a similar product: The ReFRAME from 54Dean. Two pieces of wood in various finishes, a single nail, and the power of magnets. Only available online as far as I can tell. But I ordered from them and they were quite prompt (plus you can spend some time drooling over hte coffee table they make).
they are available at Poster Plus in chicago
I sure wish I had known about this years ago when I spent a bunch-o-money framing a Peter Gabriel poster that hangs in my office.
one word. magnets - hang the poster with magnets.
Long time lurker, first time poster:
You can always just go to his Moller's website, he sells them in all sort of lengths, in black and silver finish. I orders a couple from them, they came incredibly fast. They work great.
Forgot to say if you click my name it goes to the site on my previous post, beg pardon.
Alyssa- that Gramercy paper is great! But what are you going to do with 2 rolls? *nudge*
