Last night we spent a good chunk of time shredding a large pile of papers. Rather than shredding small amounts on a regular basis, we have a bad habit of letting the pile(s) grow and grow and then having one big blow-out shredding party.
We'd like to know what you think are some of the best shredders on the market. Do you keep things small and simple with the shredder hand, or go a bit more massive/industrial with the Fellowes Sb-87Cs powershred 15-Sheet Confetti-Cut Shredder (pictured here) - or something in between?

As much as I appreciate the more whimsical shredders, I use a basic cross-cut shredder (Fellowes Powershred PS 60CC) that I bought years ago.

Cross cut is definitely the way to go.

ahem. I love my fellowes powershred ps60cc. I ran out of oil, got some, and used it just now. BUT the shredder is not working. I get a red and green light on I, nothing on R. There seems to be nothing happening on the light which activates the shredder, whether something is ready to shred or not. If anyone has any advice, much appreciated.
thanx! Jane
