Last month, we asked your thoughts on plaids plus stripes at home (as inspired by a fashion choice featured on The Sartorialist). A couple currently featured in ReadyMade have gone with the look for their bedroom space -- adding a powerful floral and miniatures collection as a backdrop. Talk about pattern! In the context of their entire loft space, we think the unlikely combo is really interesting. Click below for a close-up, as well as a glimpse at their home/work spaces:

If you check out their flickr and blog, they've actually added some more interesting pattern to their home in the form of new bookshelves with individually painted planks as a backdrop.
It seems their home is constantly evolving and getting better each time!

I've seen this house before (on Design*Sponge I think) and felt house-envy for the first time! Congratulations to this couple!
AT: the last link to ReadyMade is not working. Thanks for fixing it.

such a great raw space- but i'm so sick of this overly coordinated, cutesy precious look. is it just me?

I think it's great. You can tell that a lot of imagination went into each of the pieces. I agree that vignette-style living spaces can get to be a bit much when not done well, but I think that this place shows what is possible on a budget when you're willing to be creative.

i hear what you're saying, archinerd. the deer collection and tree stump pillow are a bit too twee however, all in all, I find the space to be creative, inviting and organized. Job well done!

Creative, inviting, and functional too! Even the table-on-table in the first picture is unexpected. I'd like to see more homes like this!

Yes, I saw this on D*S a while back, and I'm equally as taken with it now as I was then. Home envy for sure!

LOVE the hanging swing - such a fantastically unexpected piece of furniture inside a house. I once lived in a great little cottage-style house with exposed beams on the sloped ceilings, and hung a hemp sky-chair
( http://www.boblotex.com/ ) in the den. Bliss!
The globe collection is also fab!

Nice space!
But I'll never understand why a pretty girl would tat herself up like that. (I know it's way off topic, but that was all I could see when I first looked at the picture)

I had definitely seen this space before and would have gone insane wracking my brain wondering where. Thanks to the other AT commenters for reminding me it was on design*sponge!
