Adding Color with Flowers, Plants and Fruit

This concept is nothing new, but it helps to have a reminder that plants and flowers are one of the best ways to bring color and life into a home. They're relatively inexpensive, and they can have a larger impact than you might expect. Click through the photos above for a few examples...

woo-hoo! I think those "yellow flowering branches" are the dreaded silk flowers! (orchids) (Please note what appears to be bent wire stems in the vase...)

I love bowls of lemons or limes. Oranges are just as dramatic...and cheaper...

You're right - Good eyes!

Those strawberries aren't going to last more than a few hours - And the grout looks like it needs a good scrubbing...

I tend to stick w/ bowls of Granny Smith Apples...
...at least until it's time to fry 'em up w/ some butter & brown sugar to go with porkchops!
