...Munster, Indiana.
The owners of Pegboard Modern still maintain their presence in Chicago through the business (located in McKinley Park) , but love the period details and space that their modernist ranch house property includes. We love the central fireplace in their new great room, surrounded by some of their well-loved vintage finds such as the Finn Juhl Cheiftan chair and a George Nakashima rocker.
Check out their mention in Chicago Social this month and visit their house tour right here for a walk down memory lane.

This is another example of MCM to the exclusion of all else, however, albeit much more attractive.

Does anyone know the name/type/manufacturer of the fireplace pictured? Thanks.

If that's vintage, it could have been Wendell Lovett (Seattle Architect, known for the ubiquitous 60's/70's prefab fireplace). Or custom.

Agree with DN--too much MCM, although at least they have some actual vintage and no-name stuff in the mix. Better than the Oak Park house from yesterday.
Anyone else think it's a waste to have only hard wooden seating around such a kick-ass fireplace? I would want to curl up on a soft sofa or daybed there, not be exposed in the middle of the room on a wooden rocker.

Just another great reason to check out Munster IN, good folks like David and Amy. Their house is fantastic!
