Displaying Musical Instruments at Home: AT Reader AJ

072308aj.jpgYet another AT reader/musician, AJ in Little Rock, wrote us about how she incorporates musical instruments into home decor. AJ, apologizing for the quality of camera phone shot, says:

When I moved into my apartment, I decided to make a whole music corner and tie it into the decor instead of hiding it in the closet. I even framed sheet music on the wall.

Anyone other musicians and interiors enthusiasts have beautiful/creative ways of displaying their instruments? Send us photos and a few words describing what you've done: chicago(at)apartmenttherapy(dot)com.

I'm looking for ideas to display my boyfriend's instruments - some are regular guitars, others are more 'exotic' stringed instruments from our travels - while also allowing them to be humidified during the winter. Is anything other than a museum-type display case possible?

I think it looks great. Perfectly balanced.

Yikes...like rondellmeeks said, cute idea, but it's hideous. Get rid of the "framed" music and put some LP covers or posters up...
