Wired Magazine's Top Picks for Floating Homes

Seems that "floating home" is the hot new term (maybe not so new) for "houseboat." The May issue of Wired magazine shines a spotlight on the modern houseboat. Selecting their top 3 favorites worldwide (two in the Netherlands, one in Oregon), Wired also reaffirms the 3 necessities required for houseboat living: "a buoyant foundation, flexible utility pipes, and a leash to tether the house to its property line."

my house being 8 meters below sea-level, i wished it'd float too i this age of global warming and rising sea-levels. love that waterstudio watervilla too. it's becoming a real trend now with more and more houses in new developments now constructed as floating...
