Room and Board does not design-down for kids. We think their childrens offerings really share the sensibility of the whole stores' aesthetic.
The plywood Little Jake chairs ($49.) and Jill table ($99.) are a good example. Child-size, yes, but the design is consistent with the popular Jake chairs made for the rest of us.
Raising a child in an apartment, there often isn't room to have a full child's table and chair set but it's nice to have a small chair for your kiddie to use at the coffee table for snacks and play. One of these would fit the bill for a kid-size chair that doesn't look out of place in a grown-up room.
