Lisa's Robins Egg Blue Bathroom
Room for Color - North #14

thumbs up

Name: Lisa
Location: Eden Prairie, Minnesota
Type of Home: Single Family Home

Color Inspiration: This bathroom use to be bright pink, and even though we spent months removing wallpaper from this house when we moved in, for some reason it occured to me "we should totally put wallpaper in here."

Give Lisa a THUMBS UP if you think this room belongs in the finals!

Robin's Egg Blue Love

Color Inspiration continued: It is only 4x5, so pretty much anything goes. I went looking for a black and white wallpaper, but when I came across this one in my very favorite robin's egg blue, there was no turning back.

Colors Used: Designers Guild Amalienborg Celadon wallpaper
Benjamin Moore Majestic Blue (on picture frame)

Color Tip: If you love it, you can totally make it work.

Lovely. I adore the vintage baskets and the pops of red. And, of course, the wallpaper is stunning.

Kudos for going a little *crazy* in this tiny space. I'm not a wallpaper fan but yours looks great. Love the palette. Would you consider painting your (hardwood, I think?) floor, too?

Normally I think that people who put up wallpaper should be subject to some sort of horrible punishment. This, of course, after peeling layer upon layer (with primer and paint in between) of wallpaper on poorly prepared drywall in our last home. But... In this case, I forgive you. It's adorable.

Oooooh! How adorable! Bright, cozy, cheery. The first aid box and the baskets are so lovely vintage. Thank god you didn't go with the black and white wallpaper! I'd definitely happily brush my teeth before bed in here. tee-hee :)

Ooh this looks awesome! I have that very vanity waiting for craigslist in my garage........regardless of what the former owners thought, it doesn't fit in my bathroom.

At first glance, I was afraid the wallpaper would overwhelm the small space. But all of your coordinating details (shelves, baskets, first aid kit, flowers, et.) pull everything together in a really stunning way.
