I could use a heavy blanket right now. Our old house is so drafty.

I need one that doesn't shed - a lot of those blankets pill like crazy!

I have the Hughes Throw. Comfy, but let me tell you, not cat friendly.

I'm going to miss not needing blankets in California!

Right now I'm using an orange twin-size fleece blanket for my sofa blanket and it rocks! I got it at Marshall's and I adore it. I also highly recommend TJ Maxx for things like this.

I ordered 2 of the Target Tutti throws. they are really light weight wool, think wool scarf weight. they are a good size for covering you while stretching out on the couch (long enough for a 6' gal) and surprisingly warm considering the light weight... but if you are looking to "snuggle up" - these might not be the best choice, if you are looking for a lightweight wool lap throw then these are right on. i think they'd be perfect for traveling on a plane or train. a bit expensive for the weight but cheap considering i couldn't find the color i wanted anywhere else.

You still need blankets in California when it is a little cool or damp and you don't want to turn on the heater.

Don't worry Matt.... you will still want to snuggle under a blanket this winter. CA nights can get chilly!

Of course the one I like isn't $20.

Glad to see an Ikea throw is not on the list. I had one and I'm still finding little purple fuzzies on everything, a year after getting rid of it.

Love 'em, but cat owner here. Does anyone know of a cat friendly throw or blanket?
