Crafts usurped karaoke at the VFW yesterday. We saw what’s new from some favorite Twin Cities crafties, and found a few new ones—many of whom sell online, of course.

The first thing we saw was a refreshingly hard-core take on the typically well-behaved Spoonbridge & Cherry. By Talia Denton & Caleb Barton.

AT veteran Adam Turman has a happy new bicycle series. His ever-growing silk-screened empire now extends to prints on wood in smaller sizes.

A Boy Named Coy is childhood, remixed. Rebound Journals insert blank pages into kiddie book coveres, serendipitiously interrupted with random picture book pages. Vintage ties—tags & all—were remastered into wee pouches for bag, desk, jewelry or magpie treasures.

Yay! The Happify ’09 calendar is here and Julia is as sweet as her illustration.

Theft-proof lunchbags and upcycled recipe/placecard holders from Pish Posh Paperworks.

Lelia Thell’s Halloweenness amongst a cornucopia of nostalgic kitchen accessories.
