Roundup: Modern Salt & Pepper Shakers

120808ufo.jpgWe love seeing what interesting tabletop S & P duos are out there. If we ever decided to take up collecting, this could be the thing. Great for gifts, for everyday needs, and for visual interest at dinner, we rounded up some of our recent favorites. Starting with the least expensive of the bunch, this UFO set from Chiasso (above) leads the way on styles from $8 to $100:

just when you think a simple item can't be reinvented anymore, true design proves you wrong.

I'm not sure I like any other sale and pepper shaker better than this one:

My girlfriend got it for me for my birthday and it is still probably one of my most favorite home goods that I own. So simple, cute, and beautiful form.

bakelite s&p shakers are some of the sleekest and simplest imo.

haha yea they're so great. I almost feel guilty breaking their embrace to salt my fries or pepper my eggs.

I bought the Chiasso salt & pepper shakers (at the top of the page) a while back and they are terrible. The top silver one wobbles and doesn't stay in the bottom one. I guess that's what you get for $8.
