Roundup: Small Tables for a Breakfast Nook

A few months ago, we were looking for a small dining table (30-inch diameter or less) for our kitchen—not bar height, just a regular small table. We had such a hard time finding anything, until we finally spotted the perfect used tulip-style table on craigslist and snatched it up. (You can also find lots of formica-topped small breakfast tables on CL if you keep an eye out.) In case you're on a similarly frustrating search, we've rounded up a few current retail options, all 30 inches or smaller, to get you started...

FIRST ROW

1 This round, 24 to 30-inch folding bistro table ($179 - $249) is a classic and affordable design.
2 The round, 23.5-inch Brio table ($850) adjusts from table to bar height.
3 Alvar Aalto's x800 table ($3,090) is a simple bent plywood design available in a square, 28-inch format.
4 The Muddus drop-leaf table ($50) from IKEA seats 1-2.
5 Chris Kabatsi's laser-cut Coral table ranges from 18-30 inches ($399 - $1,350) in diameter and 22-40 inches in height.

SECOND ROW

6 Emeco's cafe tables ($895 - 1,185) come in round and square versions ranging from 24 - 30 inches.
7 Massimo Vignelli's small square paperclip table for Knoll ($1,045) is 30 x 30 inches.
8 IKEA's Bjursta dining table ($150) is a small, expandable rectangle that starts at 27.5 x 20 inches.
9 West Elm's Parsons mini desk ($250) is 30 x 24 inches at table height.
10 Philippe Starck's Cheap Chic square table ($430) is 28 x 28 inches and comes in 18 colors.

THANK YOU! I've been looking for a small bistro table for WEEKS.

I found a few things on craigslist, and some on overstock but nothing I liked so this is a great resource.
