2009 Ample Sample Carpet Remnant Contest Winners

01amplesample060409.jpg060409-carpetthumbs.jpg Back in April we showed you some of the great designs that were entered in last years Ample Sample design contest. It challenges people to make something fabulous from industrial fabric scraps. The 2009 winners have been announced and this year they've also released downloadable instructions for each project! Details are this way...

Each project below is linked to the downloadable instructions and materials list needed to complete the project.
Shoe-Keeper
Magic Carpet Ride: Hammock

Plush Petal Pendant

If your brain can handle more diy inspiration, cruise on over and check out the works from the finalists and winners over the last 2 years!

They are clever, but the best recycling doesn't LOOK recycled, and these things do. If people what to live with items whose origins are obvious and obviously scrap, more power to them, but I prefer recycled things that are subtle enough so that people are surprised to learn they are green.
