Angela Adams Collection: Tapestries and Rugs

The Angela Adams Collection are the high-end hand-crafted pieces that are made to order. The various series include rugs and tapestries that are complex, multi-layered pieces; colorful and quite unusual. The designs are bold, free-form and flowing and are, like all of Angela Adams' work, strongly influenced by nature.

I'm on the fence with these. On the one hand they look textural and beautiful and on the other hand it could look like an HR PuffNStuff acid laced trip.

Does anyone know anything about the couch and table in the first picture? I love them!

Her rugs are cool, but they always look like they'd be hard to clean because of all the texture.

Likely, the furniture is Sherwood Hamill.

i love these so much it hurts to imagine how expensive they are and i totally see the HR puffNstuff similarities, and embrace them.

These are super fun. I have been in love with the concept of a rug with an old world style map on it, but have not been able to find one. Has anyone seen such a thing?

My feline would be endlessly entertained by that rug (at least until it was in tatters, and then some).

Angela Adams is great. The magazine I am the Art Director at Maine Home Design magazine, we will be doing an article on Angela Adams and her designs. It will be in the May issue we are currently working on. She lives in Portland Maine where our magazine is out of.

The rugs shown above seem to be her more layered and colorful designs, but she has quite a number of simpler designs although still the same idea and absolutely lovely.

She tends to buy locally so I have a feeling the furniture is a Maine custom furniture maker. Thos Moser? Green Design? No idea but those might be places to start.

I would put this in a child's room and that's about it. Just a lil too.....much for my taste.

I would have liked the first rug when I was a kid - to play with my Matchbox cars on...

...but not so much now.

People this is 2009, can we not just go to Google and type Angela Adams? That is her husband's furniture line.

i am impressed with these. i hope this is signalling a change for her. up to now, her designs have always really bored me because she is so derivative and self-consciously retro.

When we sold out house and had money for the first time in our lives we purchased an Angela Adams rug for our new nouse. It looks great but I have to say it hasn't held up well. It has a lot of burrs and pulls. I was disappointed considering how much it cost. It will eventually end up in my son's room.

I have Angela Adams' Island Rug in Chocolate ... a predominantly dark brown rug with fun circles of blue and yellow-green. It was the jumping off point for my colour scheme in my living room -- the colours make me so happy :)

I have no problem cleaning my rug, but then again, it isn't as heavily textured as the ones in these photos.
