Bamboo Rugs from World Market

2-11-09rug.jpg

If you're looking for a cheap and easy way to bring some pattern to the floor, World Market has a selection of bamboo rugs with colorful designs. The bamboo is easy to clean (just wipe down) and durable, but it's not soft underfoot. These are the kind of rugs that would work well in places where ease of maintenance is more important than softness: on a screened porch, in a hallway, or even in the kitchen. Each one is 4x6 feet, and the price is very affordable...

Some of these would make great wall-art or a stand-in for a headboard.

I had one of these. It held up fairly well while indoors, with the exception of table legs poking holes in it a little bit. But I'd advise against putting it outside. It started to shed all over the place!

I totally thought "headboard!" when I saw these. Cool.

I use a bamboo rug on top of wooden floors, under my rolling desk chair. Looks good, works great...
