Bedroom Rugs

2-26-08bedroom1.jpg

We came across our post on FLOR's bedroom photos and got us thinking about how nice it is to wake up in the morning and step onto a warm rug. Ever since we redid our bedroom, we've been looking for the perfect rug for the foot of the bed. To tide us over, we compiled a roundup of inspirational bedroom rugs in florals, shags, stripes, and solids...

What do you think? Are rugs in the bedroom a necessity or not?

I could never have a bedroom with hardwood floors without a rug. it would just be too cold.

I have a bedroom with hardwoord floors and honestly, it's not that cold, might be because I'm the 2nd level and the heat of the apartment below is warming my floors though.

Regardless of that, I've been searching for a rug, and I have to say I love Room & Board's new cable rugs made out of really thick wool:

I would like to find some at a reasonable price..they are all so expensive and if their not they are soo cheap..ikea has lots of options but either way to cheap and color restrictive or way to expensive...

We have hardwood floors in our single-family detached house, and the bedroom floors aren't cold in the mornings because we have the thermostat programmed to click on a few minutes before my alarm goes off.

That said, I have a deep and sincere love of flokatis and wouldn't be averse to having two flokati runners along the sides of the bed.

My bedroom is FREEEEEEEEZING. I bought a thick wool rug and it helps immensely.

Jenna - try places that sell nice rugs, and ask about floor samples. I've gotten two rugs super cheap from high end places - especially in the winter. The rugs get nasty and slushy, but 60$ at a reputable carpet cleaner brings them back to life.
