Martha Stewart Rugs by Safavieh

2008-01-23-msrugs.jpgMartha, Martha, Martha. She comes up with some good stuff. This line of wool petit point rugs produced by Safavieh would work SO well with some Scandinavian Modern pieces and the Mid-C classics. Something about the slightly vintage quality of the colors, the old-fashioned needlework process and the whimsical, happy patterns make these a match for some good 20th century design...large photos and links below the jump:

These would also add zing to a traditional interior. They're the perfect bridge piece. (I should know -- my husband collects dark dark dark Mission furniture, and I've been looking for a way to lighten it up. Martha, I love you.)

Hmmm. My jury's out.
I prefer her new stuff for Flor.

Her designs for Flor are nice too, but they feel more like wall-to-wall patterns, whereas these are very much area rugs.

Yes, that's generally the difference between area rugs and carpet. ;)

We just started to sell Martha Stewart rugs on www.rugsusa.com but they don't seem to be selling well. I think for what they are ( the quality ) the rugs are a bit overpriced . I do like some of her hand knotted rugs which are not pictured above but really if I was going to spend several thousand $ on a rug I would simply buy an authentic Tibetan rug .

Martha Stewart has a line of authentic Tibetan rugs! True, some are tufted but some are also knotted as well. If you would like to purchase a rug from the Martha Stewart line go to rugstown.com they'll kindly assist you with your inquiry.
