New! Faux Bois Pattern FLOR by Martha Stewart

The latest offering from the partnership between Martha Stewart and FLOR is this Faux Bois pattern which is available in four colorways. According to the press release we just received...

...it offers "an affordable, elegant and simple DIY way to punctuate a room with this classic, nature-inspired motif".

We like the whole faux bois look - it's enjoying a heyday lately but it is much more than a quick trend - it has long decor "roots" (ouch, sorry for lame pun) so the look is definitely a classic.

We also tend to like the FLOR installations that give an overall patterned look, so we're giving this new line a "thumbs up" and plan on heading into the FLOR store soon to check it out in person.

You know, I generally really am not a fan of "faux bois", but I think the colors in the first two photos (I assume they're the same) actually make it look quite classy.

My only fault with these is they are prohibitively expensive. $20.99/tile. It is what has kept me from purchasing Bisque/Raincloud when they first came out about a month ago. (Why is the press release only out now?)

Martha's faux bois usually makes me roll my eyes a bit, but this... is fantastic. Mmm. Perhaps there will be a bare floor in my new apartment that needs this.

Then second one is very different in color from the picture shown in catalog or website, I thought it looked better on AT too cream dull on their site and the other colors are not there (blue/green).

I got a sample of this in the sample tiles I received last week. It seems quite nice. More subdued almost than I would have have envisioned. It wasn't as plush as I am going for, so it is not the one I decided on, but other than that I would recommend it based on the sample.

I'm usually not a fan of faux bois, but this is beautiful, especially in the lighter colorways. Of course, if anyone could get me to like faux bois, it would be Martha!

Cblls I hear you. I am obsessed with all the furniture that is used for staging FLOR. I have torn out many a pictures in their catalog to use for my style file. Cant help you on sourcing the chair though.
