Sleepy Hollow Rug

The first thing we thought of when we saw the new CB2 Sleepy Hollow Rug was this mural from Hakarl and Jili's apartment.

Hakarl painted the tree image in his new apartment and Jill photographed it for an AT:NY slideshow. There are plenty of good ideas at work in their home, click over to check it out if you missed it when it was posted originally.

The tree outline in graphic black and white is done in the reverse on the rug, but has a similar effect:

2007-02-29-rug.jpgIt manages to bring a bit of natural beauty into an interior in the most graphic way.
It's not a sweet woodland image but rather it's more evocative of how we experience the outdoors through photography.

These tree outline designs look modern but sort of seventies as the same time - that super graphic photo mural thing.

If you don't think you have Harkarl's fabulous way with a paintbrush, but like the look, perhaps the rug can inject some of the same feel into a sitting area. The Sleepy Hollow is wool and comes in two sizes, 5x8 ($299) and 8x10 ($499).

That is absolutely gorgeous! Does anyone have any experience w/ CB2 rugs? How is the quality?

Thanks in advance!

I have the Morocco Rug from CB2. It has been a year now and it is still going strong! The rugs are all wool so I thought the price was very reasonable. Since I live in a small apartment without a kitchen table, I have to eat at my coffee table. The rug has held up nicely through many spills. All it needs is some mild soap and water and a little elbow grease.
