Kim Curtis: Disruption (Main Gallery) and Andrea Loefke: Folding an orange fish out of newspaper

"Because we viewers are so adept at quickly reconstructing these relationships into something recognizable, (Curtis') use of disruption paired with the courtship of abstract shape and color pattern over realistic reference helps to avoid literalism in her 'landscapes.'"
