Like lavish table settings?
Yes or no, it's fun to ooh and ahh and UGH! over the annual Dining by Design. Each designer is given a 10x10 foot space and their only requirement is that the area accomodate 10 guests for dinner - so the end results are wildly varied.
Perhaps you'll even find some inspiration for your own holiday entertaining...
Today and Saturday the event is open for viewing from 10am - 2pm. The donations ($10) go to a good cause - DIFFA/Chicago.
Don't forget: it's also the Treasure Hunt this Saturday, so you can hit two events at once at the Merchandise Mart - in fact, Saturday's Treasure Hunt ticket ($10) includes admission to Dining by Design.
