We were just browsing the events list on
ReadyMade's website. While we recognize that most events showcased are west-coast based (like the mag is), we're excited for another Chicago installment of
Renegade Craft Fair this September (and intrigued by the new local shop,
Renegade Handmade that Sarah just posted). Another midwest event coming up:
Handmade Detroit's Sunday Crafternoon.
Details:
When: First Sunday of the month is Sunday Crafternoon in Ferndale, MI...EXCEPT for August, in which Detroit hosts the Detroit Urban Craft Fair (DUCF).
What: Sunday Crafternoon is a juried handmade event for local artists and crafty makers.
Where: Woodward Avenue Brewers, 22646 Woodward Ave., Ferndale, MI
Any Detroit readers out there??
I'm in Detroit! DUCF is awesome and great fun - crafternoons are also excellent, although they were a bit more fun back when the WAB had crazy drink specials on Sunday afternoons. Also, Ferndale is a great little city, with a very pleasant little downtown area for wandering around.

yeah, but sadly ferndale is on the wrong side of eight mile to call any events there "detroit _______"
Don't listen to me. I'm just bitter because I just returned to detroit from chicago, rekindling all kinds of animosity towards the white people who abandoned this beautiful city.
