This coming Sunday in Kansas City you will have the ability to tour four homes that were all designed by the architects who live in them. Many homeowners have a tendency to treat building their own house like soup. Not in the sense that it's easy to do by any means, but with the mindset that they tend to throw all their design ideas into one pot. Their house doesn't end up reflecting a complete design story and can feel jumbled. This isn't the case with these 4 architect homes; who all had a clear and concise vision for their dwellings.

When: 1-4 p.m. Sept. 14
How much: $5 per house, payable at the door. If you visit three homes the fourth is free. Children 12 and younger are admitted free.
