apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Lawn Nation: Art and Science of the American Lawn

060608flamingo.jpgBetween covering all things "outdoors" on Apartment Therapy this month and being the new owners of an actual yard, we are looking forward to the Lawn Nation exhibition at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. "Over thirty artists, designers, filmmakers, scientists, and landscape architects consider America's big green carpet..."

We look forward to seeing the art and installations inspired by America's "most ubiquitous landscape." The exhibition claims: "We are a nation of grass. There are 2,212 square miles of turf grass in Illinois. That's enough to blanket Cook County twice."

Has anyone already been to the exhibition? Any reviews? You've got plenty of time to check it out: through September 7.
