This October, the city of Chicago hosts its 12th annual Chicago Artists Month. This year's theme is Creative Alliances, "which explores how artists work together, create community, and develop partnerships and collaborations as they realize their goals." Working with 220 partners, the Department of Cultural Affairs develops a month-long roster of lectures, exhibitions, workshops for those that want to better connect with the city's artists.
You can search for events by type, date, or neighborhood, and the list includes highlights such as:
•Around the Coyote
•Andersonville Arts Weekend
•Bronzeville Public Art: Murals, Sculptures, and Monuments
•Explore Fulton Market
•Tour of The Fall Merchandise Mart International Antiques Fair
