- "Placed in a Chicago environment traditionally concerned with cool conceptualism, TOO CHECK EFFECT is a fresh look at new ideas from the West Coast. The use of recurring visual motifs locates the work within the histories of interior decoration and architecture, with specific focus on collapsing figure and ground. The experimental structure of this exhibition will provide the viewer with a way to track and complicate the exchange between the individual practices and the artists’ collaborative efforts."
