Columbia College Manifest Urban Arts Festival
- Manifest is Columbia College Chicago's annual showcase and celebration of graduating undergraduate and graduate student work from every department on campus. In just five years Manifest has grown from a College-wide showcase to an unrivaled public cultural event. The festival includes a giant street spectacle, an artwalk & sale, music on four stages, performances in Grant Park, screenings, readings, live radio broadcasts and web casts, an alumni reunion and much more.

Grand Opening of Urbanest
- Urbanest will offer striking modern occasional furniture and accessories, including dinning tables, chairs, mirrors, bureaus, dressers, pillows, decorative lighting, lamps, shades, vases, candles, candle holders, and window treatment and hardware. Urbanest will be the Midwest’s primary source for high quality green sustainable bamboo flooring. Each participating business or studio will be open....some will be serving refreshments, others will have special give-aways and all will be happy to meet and greet. ooh, I love Fulton Market! such a great mix. We can get our free drink and look at art with the beautiful people and then visit the wholesale butchers! Peoria Packing and Columbus Meat Market have small retail sections (but hours are limited.)
i'm so glad you put Manifest Urban Arts Festival on the happenings. i am a student at columbia and this is truly a special festival for a special school. it's also a good chance to spend some time in the south loop (or SO LO) before it gets way too hip!
