i had that table. I found it in the alley and certainly had no idea what it was, years later tossed it back in the alley.

That is not a Gio Ponti Cocktail table. It is not worth even half as much as they are asking for.

I've seen this design before too, if that one isn't a Gio Ponti.... what is it? It looks like the base folds up.

I'd really like one.

I have one of those tables in a redwood colored stain. I got mine on ebay for $400, and have seen them as low as ~$200. As I undetstand it they are North African campaign tables (they fold flat and are intended to be portable). They come with with ornately engraved brass (or brass colored) platters as the tabletop.

That's just crazy. I have a table almost exactly like that that I bought in Austin for under $100 from a place that knows their stuff.
