apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

David's Andersonville Apartment on Craigslist

2007-02-14-davesale2.jpg

Dave sent us an email - he is planning a move from his Andersonville apartment. He's a designer, so along with the new place will come new decor, naturally. Heather's already listed the goods in this morning's Scavenger but we have a little more info and some offers for AT readers to pass on from Dave.

"On Craigslist, there's a boat load of my furniture for sale. Since I love apartment therapy so much....I would give anyone who views your website ten percent off."

"If someone completely loves my place I would help them design their place, using a bunch of my furniture but also helping to fill in missing gaps. Gratis (well, except for buying the furniture).

Also, I would love to find a new housemate to live happily with. I detest living by myself....i like activity around me. Do any of your readers want to live with a neurotic, tidy, well coiffed fellow with piles of amazing crap? April 1st move in or something close to that. I want to return to the land of east lakeview (yay bars)."

Good luck with the sale, Dave!

And here I am packing up to move AWAY from my current housemates. I detest having roommates...I like my own space.

BTW, what's a "yay bar"?

"Yay," he exclaimed. "Bar!" Yes?

I live in that area and love it! Good move. I saw your dining room chairs on craigs and they are AMAZING! I need 6 though, have a couple more? Or some that would go well with them?

I think he meant a gay bar. Lakeview is where most of the gay bars are located.

Hi guys.

I love apartment therapy.

The bench is actually a tile topped table. And I don't think that it is or will be for sale....it is a pretty pedigreed thing that I really love.

The window treatments are partially for sale....the dining room ones. The others are not, but i can tell you where to get similar. I listed the dining room ones on craigs list.

The four chairs in my dining room are very cool. I used them as side chairs...but I actually paired them with Stark's ghost chairs from Kartell. The kartell chairs are clear plastic and are roughly the same size and shape as the wood and fabric ones with the exact same round back detail.

I already sold the Kartell ones to my coworker, but they only cost 250 each brand new and are awesome!

and yes...I meant yay! bar! as in happy gay bars to drink and sing in. Can;t wait.

Oooh, thats a possiblity. I already have one of Starck's ghost chairs, I guess I could get another... good idea! I LOVE the classic shape and style. I'll let you know, I'm in Europe until May though. If you don't sell them by then I've got dibs!
Meet you at Kit Kat in May for some half-price martinis and dining room decorating talk!
