I'd be nervous about those doilies next to a bare light bulb. Cute though.

The product page for the felt lamp says that use of bulbs exceeding 20 Watts will cause the shade to deform.

I love that tea set lamp. If I had a spare $100 I would absolutely get one of those!

I saw the felt lamp shade at last years market and it did catch our attention. It is beautiful in person, but practicality on the wattage worried us. I think you just have to take it for what it is (a Beautiful Lamp).

I would love to make my own pendant lamp similar to the "nut" sold at DWR. Any leads?

It looks like you could just get some good quality veneer and make that light, Carla. Use a cord set and I think you could easily get the armature to mount the shade to the cord/socket with and viola, a wooden lamp.

I love the wine bottle ones - just the thing I need for some mood lighting in the dining room.

Oh yeah, I remember wine bottle lamps from the 70s. I think they were in like BHG or something - I remember my mom showing them to me and trying to talk her into them.
