apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Does anyone have any creative uses for trays like these? (I have tried tirelessly to have my boyfriend use them for breakfast in bed). I love the look of a unique tray, but it just ends up in storage.

Some ideas:

- Serving cheese, pastries, cookies, muffins, sliced veggies and dip (with a small bowl)
- Table centerpiece, with a row of apples, oranges, or pile of small blooms.
- Elegantly store/display fruit - keeping a fruit bowl or tray on the table helps you eat more fruit!
- Use as an anchor on your table for an arrangement of salt and pepper shakers, a small vase of flowers, and the sugar bowl.

I use my wicker tray to house magazines, remotes and a deck of cards on my coffee table. It is great because I can pick it all up at once to move if I need more room on the table.
