LOL Buyer beware though. Buy stuff you like but don't count on most of these descriptions. McCobb? Eames? Midcentury? A lot of it is not even close! :-) But still cool. Maybe the sellers don't know what they are talking about so we should give them the benefit of the doubt.

:( hm, I am fresh first time homeowner, with next to no furniture, living in Saint Paul, and have been rabidly scouring local stores and craigslist daily for furniture, I love your finds, my frowny face is because of this.. I was very very eagerly expecting and looking forward to a 2/20th scavenger list.. because there was one on 2/6 and 2/13.. as such I was coming to apartment therapy on the 19th through today, inputting into the search engine "midwest scavenger" hoping to see a fresh listing... but for some reason only today, the 24th is the first day it appeared as a search result. A bit late to the draw thusly with some of these listings.
But please keep up the good work Sarahrae, and I thought I might throw this out, if you don't know about it, there's a local twin cities furniture store, specializing in mid century modern and antique items.. I feel honestly every piece they offer would be a part of your scavenger listing.. it's called Spinariodesign ..(i put the words altogether cause they have a website with a dot com following those words, where you can view some of their stuff) ..though you'd have to pay on the heavy side for the stuff of course, no real bargains to be found like on a craigslist.

Hi Mark - When I lived in The Cities I was a frequent visitor of Spinario Design! Thanks for the reminder!
I will always post the Midwest Scavenger at 5:35 central time each Friday. The only exception to the rule would be my absence from internet access on Friday mornings (which I try to work around). Since Craigslist changes so quickly, I try to only list things that have been searched for and aren't listed as pending/sold as of that morning.
I'm glad everyone likes the feature! I'll keep it going!
